This month, Good Garbage Podcast published two new episodes!
This month, Pakka Inc and the Good Garbage podcast have had a busy month! We published two new episodes, each with a unique lens on regenerative packaging.
First, Ved spoke with Rhodes Yepsen, Executive Director of the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI). Rhodes is an expert in all things composting, and he gave incredible insight on the ways that compostable packaging can help divert food waste from landfills. Here’s one of our favourite quotes from the conversation, “If food waste were a country, it would be the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases in the world, behind the US and China.”
Next, Ved met with Ho Ren Hua, CEO of Thai Wah Ren has an amazing family legacy – his family has run Thai Wah for three generations! Family values of responsibility, sustainability, and “good business” make Thai Wah a role model for organizations in the food service industry. Ren described Thai Wah’s guiding principle as “innovation and sustainability from farm to shelf,” and explained how they ensure that their products have a positive impact at every level of the value chain.
