Dear Team,

If I summarize the year gone by in one sentence, it would be baby steps towards a larger goal of transforming the lives around us. In the last financial year, we focused on broadening our perspectives and understanding the outside world to transform our students at Pakka Skills, team, and little kids in Krishna Niketan and Khushi – Khushi charity school.

First time in the last ten years, Pakka Skills had over 240 students and 18 girls on campus. 100% of our students got placed. We focused on giving industry exposure through industry visits, guest lectures, residential programs at Central Paper & Pulp Research Institute, and global exposure through the “Singapore Immersion Program.” We built strong industry and global connections. Some of our key partners are Key Bouvet, Khanna Paper Mill, Gyan Dairy, Haber Automation, Volvo trucks, SAP, Leica microsystems, TNC, Temasek Polytechnic – Singapore, Singapore University Technology and Design (SUDT).

We did a social impact study of our Hub & Spoke model for Krishna Niketan schools and are ready to scale the model. More than 200 students registered across 6 Krishna Niketans. 50% of our students from Khushi – Khushi, our charity school, have been mainstreamed into government schools. We are building the capacities of the government teachers on our pedagogy and giving after-school support to the students so that they don’t fall behind in their academics.

We rejuvenated six ponds around us and did some plantation drives around them.

We are super excited about this year. Pakka Skills infrastructure is transforming, and a world-class skills education building is coming up soon. We will keep focusing on getting more and more students on campus and increasing girls % in the institute, strengthening global tie-ups, and hosting international students for knowledge exchange.

In another exciting news, we are starting another program, “Sarathi”, – An initiative to help women earn a sustainable income post-training. We aim to impact 150 women in the community to earn 75000 – 100000 INR annually.

We would build at least three more Krishna Niketans and would support more than three hundred students this year.

One of the goals is to promote volunteerism across Pakka. I am sure you all are equally excited to contribute as much as you can to leave the planet cleaner.

This year has been very eventful. The team is ready to take up challenges that come along with these audacious goals and make it a successful year.
