Building Excellence Together

Dear Colleagues,

This month began with developments in Guatemala. We have appointed Mr. Rolando Yon as our finance leader for the Americas. This role will be critically important in the coming times as we will be gathering substantial investments and deploying them into projects. A finance expert can help avoid many mistakes. Mr. Yon has experience working in Guatemala, the United States, and several other countries, and he has led large industries. I warmly welcome him to the team.

I also spent time with Ms. Vivian, the newly appointed HR leader for Guatemala, and was impressed by her. Her approach is to ensure good relations with everyone and to support the advancement of each team member. I also met with a few more colleagues who are joining the Guatemala team.

We worked together to outline the project details and tried to understand the timeline. We have an open field here and an opportunity to develop it. We need to collectively establish this site as one of the finest industries in the world, so we focused more on site planning and worked on accelerating the project’s progress.

Following this, I spent a few days in the United States, during which I discussed the procedures for establishing American businesses with Ted. It is gradually becoming clear which direction we need to take and how we can benefit the clients there.

The main process for this month has been to establish contact with investors, inform them about the project, and gauge their interest. We have briefed several investors about our project, and some have expressed a desire to learn more. We will now continue discussions with these investors. In the coming days, we will meet with several interested institutions, and if we can impress them, the discussions will progress further.

This month, I worked for two weeks from Madeira, an island in Portugal. The place is renowned for its natural beauty, and we had the opportunity to explore various types of locations and enjoy the stunning landscapes.

In the midst of this, I had the opportunity to visit London for a day and spend time with two of my mentors. It became clear that many of their qualities have influenced our work. Many influential people are helping us, and we need to live up to their expectations. Mr. Bill McDonough and Mrs. Shaun Sutherland are world-renowned in the field of sustainability.

I had the opportunity to visit Ellimand, the manufacturer of our PM4, with Jagdeep, and we discussed the design details. It became evident that this company has substantial expertise in specialty papers, and our choice seems to be correct. Now, we need to accelerate the progress of the Jagriti project. The longer we delay, the more delay we will face on the other end.

I had the opportunity to spend time with a high-end R&D company named Biorbis. Observing their labs and methodologies made me realize how far behind we are and how much work remains to be done. I am quite concerned about our product development process, speed, and results. Our future path depends on our new innovations, and progress here is notably weak. We need to address this, and find the right leadership and pace to move forward effectively.

The upcoming month will be highly exciting. We need to finalize investors for Jagriti and also attract the right investors for Kavok. Additionally, we need to streamline various parts of the business to achieve this year’s goals. The compostable division is lagging again, flexible packaging and operations in the U.S. are still not on track. I need to work with greater focus to provide you with effective leadership.

Best regards,

Ved
