First aid is very important because it provides emergency help in case of injuries or illnesses. Quick and proper first aid can prevent serious conditions from getting worse and provide relief until medical treatment is available.

In this session, Dr. Pawan Yadav explained first aid for the following emergencies:

Electric Shock
• First, turn off the power source or move the person away using a wooden or plastic object.
• If the person is unconscious, give CPR.
• If there are burns or injuries, rinse the affected area with cold water.

☠️ Chlorine Gas Exposure
• Immediately take the person to fresh air.
• If they have difficulty breathing, provide oxygen support.
• If eyes are irritated, rinse with clean water.

🐍 Snake Bite
• Keep the person calm and avoid movement.
• Keep the affected limb lower than the heart level.
• Do not suck out the poison or tie the area tightly.
• Take the person to the nearest hospital immediately.

🔥 Burn Injury
• Pour cold water on the burned area (do not use ice).
• Do not apply cream or oil on the burn.
• Seek medical help if the burn is severe.

🦴 Fracture or Dislocation
• Keep the injured part still and avoid movement.
• Apply ice to reduce swelling (wrap it in a cloth before applying).
• Get medical help immediately.

🌡️ Heat Stroke
• Move the person to a cool place and loosen their clothing.
• Wipe the body with a wet cloth and give them cold water or electrolytes.
• If they faint or start vomiting, seek medical attention immediately.

🩸 Cut or Wound Care
• Clean the wound and apply gentle pressure to stop bleeding.
• Apply antiseptic and cover with a bandage.
• For deep wounds, visit a doctor.
