Dear Team,

The last month of 2023 was bustling with activities.

Love-Ese Chile, a researcher from Canada, joined us in Portland, sparking insightful discussions about potential collaborations.

Shortly after that trip, I came to India to attend the Paperex event. The event was a delightful experience, leaving a lasting impression on all involved. Some standout accomplishments from the event included:

  • Our quality and service were universally appreciated by our customers.
  • Visitors were keen on learning about our upcoming products, affirming our direction.
  • Considerable effort was invested in crafting our stall design, earning widespread appreciation for its distinctiveness.
  • Seasoned industrialists brought their teams to our stall, seeking insights into their plans.
  • Substantial headway was achieved in the Jagriti project, with discussions held with numerous suppliers.
  • Discussions revolved around innovation and the stall.
  • Several colleagues visited our stall and commended my work approach.

Attending the exhibition reaffirmed my confidence in the path we’re on, emphasizing the need to persist with dedication, belief, and courage in our endeavors.

Upon arriving in Ayodhya, the Deloitte team, our technology advisors, conducted numerous presentations to enhance their understanding. There are several initiatives in this area that will enhance our operations, benefitting both our internal functioning and our customer service.

Following this event, I had the privilege of attending a two-day leadership training session in Bangalore alongside several colleagues. During this program, our instructors, Raghu and Sai ji, shed light on the necessity of organizing for the future and emphasized the importance of a management process centered on customers. This emerging framework appears to be a promising direction for the future, and strengthening our sangh systems.

During this time, I got the opportunity to go to IISc with Ramji and discussed with the CTO there how we can connect Pakka’s research with this world-class institute.

As part of the leadership program, we had the privilege of visiting Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, a remarkable institution in the field of ophthalmology. Our team gained invaluable insights from this renowned establishment, known as the world’s largest ophthalmology institute, performing an astounding 3-4000 cataract surgeries daily. With doctors conducting 6-8 surgeries per hour and half of their patients receiving top-tier free care, Aravind Eye’s philosophy centers around eradicating blindness. Their methodology left a lasting impression on us, and we plan to recommend this experience to our colleagues.

During Smriti Diwas, investors visited the plant and expressed admiration for its operations. This particular Smriti Diwas was a tribute to the founder, marked by commendation for the entire program and especially its decorations.

I had the honor of hosting the Board Director of the Pakka Foundation, who provided invaluable guidance for our future endeavors in doing good work.

Following this, I had the opportunity to meet with investors in Mumbai, aiming to fortify our investment network.

Subsequently, I was privileged to attend the wedding anniversary celebration of my maternal grandparents in Kolkata—a delightful event, especially considering their age, both above 90.

This past year has been exciting, and collectively, we’ve made significant strides toward our objectives. As we look ahead to the coming year, there’s much work ahead, necessitating an increased pace in our contributions to the planet and humanity.

I encourage everyone to set aside some time for introspection, contemplating the actions necessary for personal progress in 2024, and to continue on the path of advancement.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.

Warm regards,

Ved
