New mold making and sample production
The sampling mold machine has three parts:
- Forming mold
- Hot press core or Cavity
- Trimming mold top and bottom
To make a new mold, one PCS aluminium block of 1100 grade of aluminium alloy is taken. In that block, at CD of 180 mm, a hole of size 10.2 mm is made, and a 12 mm tap is run. And clamp the block on the CNC machine. Set the die and cut the forming die first side through the program. After the first die is cut, the second side is cut by clamping the die upside down. The forming mold is ready on the CNC after cutting.
Then, the second block is put on the CNC machine. Cavity molds are made. After the cavity is made, the next new block is mounted, and the core mold is offered. And make core mold on the CNC. Holes of size 2.2 mm are made at a distance of 12 mm in the forming mold. So that the water vacuum can be drawn. Then, the SS plate of 550 ×450 mm is cut, a hole is done, and after doing rubber packing, forming die is clamped. Forming mold is now ready.
MS plate is cut in 500×400×6 mm size, then a hole is done by countering cavity and core is tight in different MS plate. Forming, core, and cavity mold get ready. The cavity is cut in the new aluminum block to make the trimming mold. And the top die of trimming is imported from Delhi.
Making new sampling
The forming mold is set on the forming machine. Forming box is set according to the forming machine. Set pulp, water, and vacuum, and also set the hot press mold core and cavity. Then, switch on the alignment and temperature of the machine. Set the trimming mold and do the alignment. When the temperature comes down take the product out. After that, water and oil testing are done and the weight is set. If everything is correct then start production.
