The bridge school of Pakka Foundation, Khushi Khushi is working with 37 children who were forced into child labor, begging, and other practices and were deprived of education. It gives me immense pleasure to share that one of the girls, Diya from Khushi – Khushi is now studying in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Noida, a government residential school for low–income background girls. She is extremely happy there and her parents too are now supporting her. Diya’s story is now influencing many students and their parents to prioritize education over child labor and begging.
