June was an eventful month for Pakka Inc. as we focused on spreading the message of regenerative packaging through our podcast, Good Garbage with Ved Krishna.
First, Ved spoke with Thomas Philipon, CEO of TotalEnergies Corbion, about the role that polylactic acid (PLA) has in the compostable packaging space. Their discussion was energetic and engaging as they debated the benefits and challenges of PLA as a plastic alternative and contemplated how PLA may evolve in the future.
Ved also sat down with Julia Marsh, co-founder and CEO of Sway. Sway is a startup that makes compostable packaging out of seaweed. While still in its early stages, Sway has the potential for great change and influence in the regenerative packaging industry, and Ved was impressed by Julia’s ambition and determination. This episode is scheduled to be released the third week of July.
We are excited to see the podcast grow and evolve as we expand our reach to a wide array of listeners. The podcast is an opportunity to learn from guest experts and maintain a dialogue around regenerative packaging, and we have great hopes for its influence. Next month, we want to hear from listeners, especially those within the Pakka family: what do you want to hear next from the Good Garbage podcast?
