Wrapping Up 2024 with Inspiring Stories on Sustainability and Sweetness!

As 2024 comes to an end, we at The Good Garbage podcast couldn’t have asked for better guests to conclude the year with us!

Sanjay Monie from Kemira joined us to nerd out about material science, and the gourmet chocolate brand, Chocolat-e’s co-founder duo Jeanyves Verdu and Norman, brought a much-needed client’s perspective to the podcast along with their delectable chocolate for us to savor!

We kicked things off with Sanjay Monie who’s just a treasure trove of in-depth knowledge in the field of inks, coatings and its application in sustainable packaging. He works with Kemira as the Global Strategy and Market Development Manager with their Growth Accelerator vertical and talks passionately about how he’s looking to scale up start-ups that intend on leaving the world a better place through their innovative solutions, especially in the sustainable packaging industry.

Kemira primarily provides water treatment solutions, but their latest goal is to be a sustainable solutions company with a focus on dispersion-based barrier coatings. Their goal is to generate 500 million dollars in revenue from renewable technologies by 2030!

Moving on to the next episode, that gave us a sweet end to the year, we had a riveting conversation with chocolate connoisseur and creative visualizer, Jeanyves Verdu and a salt of the earth priest and real estate agent, Norman Rice.

Along with one of the world’s best chocolatiers Frédéric Cassel, they are two of the five co-founders of a sustainable and ethical gourmet chocolate company “Chocolat-e” that’s taking the world of cocoa lovers by storm!

Sustainability plays a huge role in this delicious chocolate’s packaging and branding.

Jeanyves and Norm ooze so much passion, excitement and energy around chocolate that it’s hard not to be every bit as excited as we talk about their company’s growth and values around ethical sourcing and sustainable packaging.

Both the founders come from wildly different backgrounds – a graphics designer and a priest turned real estate agent – which makes for an entertaining yet informative episode!
